My dream was to be a tugboat captain - and day by day I'm completing that dream..

Meet Katrina. She's thee women, the artist, the future tugboat captain.

We so excited to introduce you all to this amazing woman that stop by our shop this summer on the shores of Lake Michigan in Muskegon, Michigan.

When she is on land she's a social worker others and when she is on water she is working towards her dream to become a tugboat captain. Between land and sea she sketches and writes poetry. We are so lucky to have some of her prints now in our shop. She will be donating 10% of all her sales to protect the oceans and Great Lakes.

Here is one example of her prints and I've include below a message from Katrina.

Hello, hi, ahoy!

My name is Katrina and I am a Maine native. Growing up in a coastal  state has sparked my absolute love of the ocean. Since I was a little girl, my dream was to be a tugboat captain - and day by day I'm completing that dream.  Working in a male dominated industry as a crew member of a Great Lakes Tugboat Company.

I live by these 3 sayings:

  • Exude confidence.
  • Have courage.
  • Be kind.

No matter what the obstacle, don't ever give up!
Thank you for supporting the local artist.

Much love,
Katrina
